High School Writing Contest

We Accept High School Writing submissions!

We are currently actively looking for short stories for publication on our Society’s journal, The Philologos Times!

Our guidelines for what we are looking for are simple:

  1. short interesting stories (fictional or not) telling a valuable message/lesson
  2. target word limit: 500 words
  3. topic & writing style must be engaging/entertaining

Upon evaluation by our Society’s leadership, stories to be published on the Society's journal will be selected, published on our website, and featured on all of our social media pages. Students whom we select gain excellent writing experience, and earn publishing credentials that they can put on their resume! This also constitutes a valuable way to gain volunteering hours, as students can claim 3 hours per published story all the while having fun with their imagination.
